• Vu-An Foster
  • New Jersey Ambassador

Vu-An Foster studied at William Paterson University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health. She is currently at Montclair State University completing a Master of Public Health Degree concentrating in Health Systems Administration and Policy. Upon completion, she plans to obtain her DrPH.

After experiencing not only one but two second trimester losses, Vu-An became committed and dedicated to making a difference and improving Maternal Child Health outcomes. She is a Peer Preconception Educator and provides preconception counseling in the community. She has partnered with a Maternal Child Health organization to provide monthly support for women and families who experienced pregnancy and infant loss. She attends Maternal Child Health conferences and participates in a number of events as a featured speaker throughout the country. She also served on the legislative, medical, and events committee for Star Legacy Foundation for two years.

Vu-An founded Life After 2 Losses which is near and dear to her heart professionally, academically, and personally where she uses all forms of social media (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, and TikTok) to document her journey as a Mom after the loss of her two daughters. Her hopes is that her story brings awareness to incompetent cervix diagnosis and pregnancy loss through advocacy.

“I had the pleasure of meeting the previous Count the Kicks Ambassador of New Jersey [Karina Bennett] and realized I have tall shoes to fill.  I am up for the challenge and look forward to joining the team as I, too, am dedicated to preventing stillbirth and reducing infant deaths by providing education through advocacy.”
