Meet Rhylen
- Baby Saves
“I heard about Count the Kicks during a high-risk OB-GYN visit. They had a card on the front desk with a QR code and I just had to scan it, but I also heard about it on TikTok!
Count the Kicks played a huge role in the birth of my baby boy. I used the app throughout my whole pregnancy, which was a high-risk pregnancy with risk of preterm labor. While using the app I was able to develop an idea of all his patterns and awake times.
I was at dinner at my mom’s house when I noticed something was off. My baby was always super active in the evening. I noticed there wasn’t much movement for the day and I instantly knew something was wrong.
My husband rushed me to the hospital and as soon as I sat in the car to head to maternity I started having extremely painful contractions and started having heavy bleeding.
Once I arrived, I was hooked up to lots of monitors to keep an eye on me and the baby. The doctors told me I was in active labor and I ended up going for an emergency cesarean section due to the heavy bleeding. It wasn’t until I was in surgery that they told me my water had a small leak that could have been going on for a week or so.
Baby Rhylen was born on Oct. 24, 2025. Because of the leak he did end up getting an infection and ended up in the NICU, but improved lots once he had antibiotics. I was never told any causes for the bleeding I had, but I will always wonder why.
If I stayed home and didn’t go in at the first sign of something being wrong I’m not sure if he would be here today. I am very thankful to the Count the Kicks app for helping me keep track of my little one’s movements.
I highly recommend all new parents and mamas-to-be to use this app to fully know your baby’s movements and patterns. Go in as soon as you feel something off. It is so, so important to keep track of your baby’s movements. If anything ever feels off, always go in!” -Courtney S., Rhylen’s mom
