My name is Jen Loga, and I am a mother, advocate, and storyteller deeply committed to stillbirth awareness and prevention. In 2020, my life was forever changed when my daughter Lucy was stillborn due to congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV), a common viral infection that can have devastating consequences during pregnancy. Lucy’s loss was a heartbreaking experience that ignited my mission to raise awareness and help prevent similar tragedies for other families.
As an ambassador for Count the Kicks, I work to educate expectant parents about the importance of tracking fetal movement, a simple yet crucial way to monitor the health of their baby during pregnancy. By providing parents with tools and resources to track fetal activity, Count the Kicks empowers them to act quickly if there are concerns, potentially reducing the risk of stillbirth. I am passionate about spreading this vital information, so no parent has to experience the pain of losing a child as we did with Lucy.
In addition to my advocacy with Count the Kicks, my husband, Mark, and I have raised more than $80,000 for initiatives supporting families affected by stillbirth. These funds have gone toward hospital cuddle cots — devices that allow parents to spend precious time with their babies after loss — and organizations that provide emotional and financial support for grieving parents. Our fundraising efforts also help stillbirth prevention organizations that work to ensure parents are informed and empowered throughout their pregnancies. I am committed to honoring Lucy’s memory by continuing this important work and helping other families navigate their own journeys of grief and healing.
Professionally, I work in the health media space, where I lead efforts in measurement and analytics, specializing in data-driven insights that connect healthcare providers and patients. My experience in health media has strengthened my understanding of the importance of clear communication and accessible information, which I bring to my advocacy work.
At home in South Orange, New Jersey, I live with my husband, Mark, and our daughters, Juliet and Abigail, along with our beloved dog, Pickles. When I’m not working or advocating for stillbirth prevention, I enjoy spending time in my garden, painting, and immersing myself in true crime stories. My experiences, both personal and professional, drive me to continue supporting families, raising awareness, and working toward a future where stillbirth is far less common.
