Hey there! My name is Karina Bennett and I feel privileged to call myself a Count the Kicks Ambassador. Doing good work to honor of my son, Milan, makes the pain easier to bare and helps give meaning to a senseless event.

At 39 weeks my perfectly healthy baby died in an umbilical cord accident. Milan was wrapped up like a package in his cord and was born on Sept. 7, 2011, a beautiful 7 pound, 1 ounce baby.

I didn’t know the importance of tracking my baby’s movements on a daily basis and I believe that if I had been monitoring, my son would likely be alive today.

I learned way too much after it was too late and feel passionately about sharing this life-saving information while parents still have a living baby.

I have made several online videos and a national commercial for Count the Kicks with the hopes of reaching those people who were like me.

Awareness is the key to prevention.
