My name is Megan Morello, and I live in Greenwich, Connecticut, with the love of my life, Tony. I am a Costume Design Teacher by day and a stillbirth advocate by night. My son Brayden was born still on July 28, 2021, at 37 weeks and 3 days from a prolapsed and nuchal cord.
The phrase, “I’m sorry, there is no heartbeat” is a phrase expectant parents should never have to hear. After taking the first year after my son’s death to explore ways of honoring Brayden, I decided to keep his memory alive by becoming an ambassador for Count the Kicks.
My main goal is to help spread awareness about fetal movement. Brayden was a high-risk pregnancy, and not a single doctor or nurse educated me about the importance of fetal movement. If I knew then what I know now from Count the Kicks, my son could have survived. I am joining this wonderful organization to help spread the word as best as I can to the state of Connecticut and beyond.
