My name is Shauna Goulet, and I have been passionate about everything related to pregnancy and childbirth for more than 35 years. For the last 25+ years I have been blessed to care for birthing families as a Labor & Delivery nurse. I live in Rural Northern Maine, but I work in Bangor, Maine, where I also run my business, Mainely Perinatal Education, LLC.
I educate healthcare providers throughout the state in areas of maternal and newborn emergencies and fetal monitoring. I also teach in-person childbirth education to empower those in all stages of pregnancy to be the center of their birth story with evidence-based information.
As a Labor & Delivery nurse I have held many babies born still and supported their families through one of the most heartbreaking events in their lives. I have been promoting Healthy Birth Day, Inc. and Count the Kicks for the last few years, and I am really looking forward to continuing to provide education and support to birthing families and the providers who care for them as an ambassador in Maine.
