“I delivered my baby boy this week. I’d noticed decreased movement for several weeks and received NST and BPPs and everything seemed reassuring, although the NST showed decreased variability. I figured I was being overly cautious. At 1 a.m. last night [Nov. 9] at 40 weeks and 3 days, the baby was barely moving no matter what I did. I recalled reading stories on this page and went to the hospital. There was decreased variability on NST but otherwise, everything was normal. As I was past my due date, they broke my water and I delivered my baby with a true knot in his umbilical cord. I am so grateful I went in. I just wanted to share my story.  He is safe and sound and we are going home tonight to meet his big sister.

I specifically remember a story on this page where a mom explained if she hadn’t gone in immediately, she could have lost her baby which was the reason I didn’t just wait until my appointment the next day.
