Amanda Fletcher joined Healthy Birth Day, Inc. and Count the Kicks as Development Director in November 2023. Amanda is a graduate of Central College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a minor in Communications.

Amanda found her calling after college when she accepted her first job doing fundraising in the nonprofit world. For the past 20-plus years she has raised millions of dollars for Central Iowa nonprofits supporting: the elderly, those who are homeless, patients receiving hospice services, reading advancement for children who struggle, and mental health services for children. She now works to improve birth outcomes and ensure the lives of moms and babies are being saved!

Amanda’s own journey in life includes being adopted, having a healthy child naturally, struggling with infertility, and enduring in vitro fertilization (IVF) and multiple unsuccessful frozen embryo transfers. After giving birth to her healthy twins in 2010, she made the emotional and heartwarming decision to share her three remaining embryos with a family that adopted them; they are now raising a healthy son. She feels blessed to share a close relationship with his adoptive family.

Her life experiences have given her a passion for relating to and connecting with women, and for understanding the struggles that occur for many during their journey to motherhood. These experiences empower her to connect with donors who share a desire to contribute to saving the lives of moms and babies by supporting the critical work of Healthy Birth Day, Inc. and Count the Kicks

Amanda resides in Norwalk, Iowa, with her husband, Justin, and three children, Grant, Nolan and Karlin. Amanda enjoys being her children’s biggest cheerleader at their sporting and musical events, traveling (her family recently completed her goal of traveling together to all 50 states before her oldest son, Grant, graduates from high school), volunteering for causes she is passionate about, scrapbooking, attending concerts, cooking/baking, hosting gatherings and coordinating fun things to do with friends.
