My name is Neatrice Holmes and I currently live in Baltimore, Maryland. I’m a full-spectrum doula with Sisters-in-Loss, a PAIL Advocate, and Black Maternal Health advocate. I also am a co-facilitator for Postpartum Support International, where I co-lead an online support group for Black Moms who have experienced stillbirth and miscarriage. I’m also the owner of Harmony of the Soul, LLC offering a variety of holistic services such as Reiki, meditation, crystal healing, along with doula services and education.
My journey in maternal health began in 2018 when I had a traumatic miscarriage experience. After doing research, I found that I was not the only person that had experienced this type of birth trauma and that it was very common. I decided to dedicate myself to helping other birthing people to advocate for themselves with their healthcare providers while pregnant, and educating others of the maternal health disparities among Black and brown babies.
I’m excited to be an Ambassador and promote Count the Kicks in my state and all social media platforms. Tracking fetal movement with Count the Kicks in the third trimester will help save the lives of many babies.
