Ensuring accessibility and inclusivity is of paramount importance to me in my work as a birth doula (G.R.O.W. Doula, Sista Midwife Productions), Diaspora Death Doula, PAILAdvocate, Fertility Advocate, and Peer Confidante. I firmly believe that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves access to the support and resources they need during challenging life transitions.
Recognizing the unique struggles faced by marginalized communities, I am committed to being an accessible resource for those who are often overlooked or underserved. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where individuals from all walks of life feel comfortable seeking guidance and support.
Whether it’s offering culturally sensitive care, providing information in multiple languages, or bridging the gap between different healthcare systems, I am dedicated to breaking down barriers and ensuring that everyone has equal access to the resources and support they deserve.
I actively seek opportunities to collaborate with community organizations and advocates to amplify the voices and needs of marginalized groups. By continuously educating myself and expanding my cultural competency, I aim to address the unique challenges and provide tailored support for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
In my role as a Peer Confidante, I am committed to offering a non-judgmental and affirming space for individuals who may feel marginalized and/or misunderstood. By actively listening and centering their experiences, I aim to empower and uplift those who may have traditionally been excluded or overlooked.
By prioritizing accessibility and inclusivity, I hope to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the well-being of all individuals, regardless of their background, identity, or social standing. Everyone deserves to have their voice heard, their needs respected, and their journey supported, and I am honored to be a part of that process with Count The Kicks.
