Travis Gorsch joined Healthy Birth Day, Inc. as a coordinator for the GameChangers campaign in April 2024. Travis first learned of Healthy Birth Day, Inc. through the Every Kick Counts campaign for Count the Kicks, which is led by former Iowa Hawkeye kicker and current Every Kick Counts Coordinator, Keith Duncan.

Travis is passionate about partnering with athletes to use their platform to make positive change in their community and bring awareness to important causes. Travis began his career in the sports industry in Community Relations with the Oakland A’s, Golden State Warriors, Super Bowl 50 Host Committee and San Jose Sharks. In those roles he was able to work with professional athletes and teams to support local initiatives benefiting the Bay Area. After moving back to Iowa he founded a nonprofit organization called Impactful Opportunities With Athletes Foundation (The IOWA Foundation) to do the same in Iowa.

Travis earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports & Recreation Management from Ashford University and Masters in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco. In addition to the above experience, he has worked in numerous roles including youth sports, nonprofits, sports travel and hospitality industries and more recently as an apparel sales rep in Central Iowa.

He is active in his community including serving on other nonprofit boards including the Iowa Sports Foundation, Parks Area Foundation, Highland Park/Oak Park Neighborhood Association, North High School Booster Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters Big Impact Board. Travis also enjoys coaching wrestling in the winter, which he has done at Valley High School since 2020.
